Privacy Notice – Story Builder
Who we are:
Story Builder is a tool developed by Charity Creator School (operating under the company Shootful Ltd) to help users create sharable stories for charities. We take your privacy seriously and comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What data we collect:
Depending on the form, we may collect:
Your name, email, or other identifiers (if provided)
Your responses to our prompts or questions
Optional demographic or personal background information (only where explicitly asked)
Why we collect it:
Your input helps us generate summaries or content using AI (OpenAI) and structure responses for external and internal campaigns or communications for our charity partners. This may include social media, website and other published content.
How your data is processed:
Your responses are securely passed through Make.com, then used in OpenAI to generate summaries or formatting.
Outputs are saved as a Coda document for your and your charity partner's use. You or your charity might choose to share the document with other colleagues.
We also have access to your document to help us with quality control of the Story Builder tool.
We do not sell your data or use it for profiling or marketing.
Your rights:
You have the right to:
Access, correct, or delete your data
Object to or restrict certain types of processing
Request a copy of your data

Data retention:
We only keep your data as long as needed for the project. This time is agreed in advance between us and charity partner. Data may be deleted upon request.
Third parties:
We use GDPR-compliant processors: Typeform, Make.com, Coda, and OpenAI. Data is not transferred outside the UK/EEA without safeguards.
